Default What make you put them on the ignore list?

At first, I never would have thought I be adding anybody on this kind of list, I thought, I have no intention to start any negative situation in the game, so I was expected to never us this list.

Untill recently, I added another person, I realise, my ignore list is becomming almost as long as my freind list.

First person I added, was some child, who was extreamly angry that I left the party after I, as the leader who has been looking for people for a long time to go for skill caping. If I had to go, I had to go, I could only appoligise for what of real life's demand. I personal dislike people leaving when players are hard to be found as well, so I understand how un happy one could be.

I explained my situation, but his on going range produced such none stop cursed words and insults, and worse to me, what the spaming.

And since, that broken my empty record on the ignore list.

Second, was some asshat that really only wanted to do bonus of the misson, but he lied, and used us to get through the bonus, I found that very cheap and low, I did not messge him with any insult, but to remind me not to party with him again, I added him too.

And finally, since I started selling things, shouting what to sell in towns, my ignore list just went sky high.

Little dick heads who oftern dont ask you a question once, but if you dont answer them within the 1st second, they spam about 5 or 6 times on the roll the same question, to me, I really could not be arsed, and ignore list it goes.

This happen ratehr oftern, and so the list became rather fullfilling.

And my last one, a kid asked me if I could give me 400 gold, in a none stoping style.

I though it is a self defeating prof to have such a large list of people being igonored by you, I wonder if you guys would agreed on the people I have ignored, and what make you put them on the ignore list?

Apparently you also ignored your english teacher.

I have a single person on my ignore list, a scammer who took partial payment from our group and proceded to leave. He was reported and ingored.

Your ignore list grows, in a week or few days kick them off. Either they ignored you as well or the forgot about you. Also to stop the usage of ignore list use the "Do Not Disturb" mode.

How do I use the Do Not Disturb mode? Wouldnt that block other ppl who are interested in talking to me? Such as wanting to buy things?

whenever i want someone to stop talking to me, i ignore them, change district or town and come back later. IN a few mins they will give up and thus you can take them off your ignore list. It doesnt need to grow.

I have three people on my ignore list: two guys who wouldn't take "no" for an answer to trading, and one guy who spammed the word BLEACH! over and over and over in Lions Arch.

I have put four names on my ignore list. All were guild members who I booted for using foul lanugage in guild chat and being abusive to other members. They continued their uncoth behavior after beeing booted by using the whisper channel to bother me. *Ignore* for peace of mind.

I've had two total. Was in a pug (glint mission) and they were spamming very bad racial things and would not stop, aggro mobs to afk players and trying to zone quickly to prevent skill cap off the dragons.

Did screen shots and reported them and put them on the list, I never want to party with them ever again.

Spammers in the "All chat". I find that there is nothing more irritating than spammers who just spam like ~10 sentences just after each other.

I only have a few...

A monk who joined us for the Elona Reach mission then just stood by the ghost waiting for us to finish the mission so she could have a free ride.

Another monk who I was also a "passenger" on a run to Droks with from Beacons. They refused to pay and so we restarted without them. Very lame, said things like "I thought it was 150g at each, not 1500g" and "I promise to pay at the Forge". Yeah, right.

One more, think they were just way too annoying in a PUG I was with, don't remember for sure.

I am usually with guildies or henchmen and have All and Trade chats turned off so live a sheltered life. A good life though.

I hate putting people on my ignore list, but the only ones I ever do are people that see you with nice looking 15k armor and beg you for gold. Usually their messages aren't even intelligable..."could u gimme sum $$? plz coz im p00r" So yeah...I hate beggars with a passion.

You can report them, especially if they keep changing the last number at the end of each sentence.

This is something I could never understand, especially when they have 5 in a row going on chat. The only answer is to ignore. Some people just dont get it.

I don't have anyone on my ignore list. If someone really annoys me in a particular channel then I just change districts and come back later.

People verbally abusing you? Just let them go at it, tell them you are taking a screen shot and will send it off to anet to get them banned for harassment.

They may send one or two messages but should leave you alone soon enough. Or just ignore them. Temporarily put up your DND message (from your Friends screen), they will give up after a bit and then turn it back on and go about your business.

I've only ever had 2 people on my ignore list, but i've taken them off the list now. I put them on as they were pestering me wanting to cyber with me during the PvP Faction's event weekend. blech.. I don't come and play GW to cyber with people.. blerch. So they went straight to my Ignore list.. LOL

and putting yourself to Do Not Disturb is great... unless your chatting with someone that you want to chat wiyth.. in which case use the ignore list.

romeo_longsword - to put yourself into DND mode, press N to bring up your friends window (where you put friends/ignore list's).. see the box that says "Online" .. you can change that to Away, Do not Disturb and Appear Offline.

If you change yyourself to DDND or AO then no-one can PM you however.. so only do that if you don't want any pm's at all.
